Ann-Sofi Sidén

Ann-Sofi Sidén was born in 1962 in Stockholm, where she lives and works. Sidén has studied at Hochschule der Kunst, Berlin and at the Royal School of Arts, Stockholm.

Sidén is a multidisciplinary artist, she started working with painting and later began to delve into other mediums, like sculpture, film, and video installations. In her work, she explores themes such as vulnerability, control, and subtle violence.

A selection of her solo exhibitions include Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm (2008); Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2005) and Musée d’art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (2001). Group exhibitions include the Venice biennale (2009); New York & KunstWerke, Berlin (2006) and Carnegie International, Pittsburgh (1999–2000).
