Glen Rubsamen was born in 1957 in Hollywood. He splits his time between Los Angeles and Düsseldorf.
Rubsamen is a visual artist and writer, he primarily works with painting and photography. In his work he creates dramatic contrasts between the backdrop and the foreground. The background consists of a beautiful play with colors, looking like a sunset or a cloudy sky in contrast to the foreground with dark silhouettes, often resembling palm trees or buildings. Looking like a characteristic Californian view.
