Robert Guillot

Robert Guillot was born in 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1978 Guillot received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Memphis College of Art, Tennessee and in 1980 he received his Master of Fine Arts from Yale University, New Haven.

Selected solo exhibitions include Sideshow Gallery, New York (2016); Jack Shainman Gallery, New York (1999); Jack Shainman Gallery, New York (1995) and Craig Cornelius Gallery, New York (1994). Group exhibitions include Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall (2014, 2010); Stedelijk Museum Sheidam, The Netherlands (2012); Jack Shainman Gallery, New York (2004, 1994); Stux Gallery, New York (1994); Rosa Esman Gallery, New York (1988); Artists Space, New York (1983); Alberta College of Art, Canada (1981) and the 77th Biennal, New Orleans Museum of Art (1977).

Guillot has been honored with a number of prizes and grants including, Milton and Sally Avery Fellowship, New York (1992); Yaddo, Saratoga Springs (1992); MacDowell Residency (1992) and National Endowment for the Arts Grant, Washington (1981).
