Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall has been collecting works from its exhibitions since 1987, as well as regular acquisitions made outside the exhibition program. Today, Magasin 3 is considered to have one of Europe’s finest collections of contemporary art.

The first exhibition room presents photographs by Anna Gaskell, Annika von Hausswolff, Jonathan Meese, Cindy Sherman, and Dan Wolgers – all works from the collection not previously shown at Magasin 3. The second room displays Pedro Cabrita Reis’ installation created specifically for the exhibition The Silence Within, 2001 at Magasin 3. The Portuguese artist uses painting to approach architecture, building an enormous landscape of glass sheets illuminated from below.

The exhibition ends with the Romanian artist Mircea Cantor’s video work The Landscape Is Changing, in which a group of protestors carry mirror placards reflecting and distorting the cityscape of Tirana, Albania.
