The catalogue contains a presentation of the network FACE, its member institutions and texts about the exhibition Investigations of a Dog. It also includes texts about the artworks presented and is generously illustrated throughout.

In conjunction with the exhibition, each institution invited a local author to write a new short story inspired by Franz Kafka for the catalogue. English translations of all five short stories are published in the exhibition catalogue. Jonas Hassen Khemiri (born 1978) is one of the most acclaimed contemporary Swedish writers. Through his award-winning novels “One Eye Red” (2003), which was also adapted into a feature film, “Montecore. The Silence of Tiger” (2006) and several plays and novels he has become one of the most important writers of his generation.
